How to submit a closing or delay

WRTV is pleased to provide an automated system for school closings, providing your parents and students with the most immediate, accurate information about your schools' status during inclement weather.

Our new system speeds up the process of getting information on the air and online and puts you in charge.

You must be pre-registered and have your ID and password.

If you have any questions about your ID/password or how to access the system, please email schoolclosings@wrtv.com.

Not in our system? Email schoolclosings@wrtv.com with the following information:

  • Type of organization (school, day care/preschool, business, government, church, or other -- specify)
  • Organization name, address (including city, ZIP code and county) and phone number
  • Contact person's name, business email address and after-hours phone number
  • No. of employees
  • No. of others affected by closing

During periods of high volume, requests for new accounts will take up to 72 hours to process.
