INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis Public Schools have opted to cancel all IPS school sponsored field trips through April 3 in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak.
In a statement posted to social media on Tuesday, the district said school officials have taken the additional "social distancing strategies" out of an abundance of caution.
"Our primary concern is always the health and well-being of our students," the district said in the post.
State officials have now confirmed six presumptive positive cases of COVID-19, the novel coronavirus, as of Tuesday.
