HENDRICKS CO. — A brand new festival full of fairies, unicorns, mermaids and many more creatures will unite on Saturday, May 18.
The inaugural event is being put on by The Central Indiana Enchanted Fairy Festival from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Hendricks County 4-H Fairgrounds & Conference Complex in Danville.
The festival consists of 20 different locations for participants to stop throughout Hendricks County, that includes a fairy tea party, crafts and games, photo opportunities with fairies, live mermaid and unicorn performances and more. Food and drinks will be available for purchase from several vendors, as well.
Following the family-friendly festival, a 21-and-older 'Ethereal Ball' will go into full effect.
The adult-only ball is from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., and will include performances, a costume contest, dancing and food and drink from Chateau Thomas Winery and Wabash Brewing.
The entire event is pet-friendly, with a percentage of the proceeds benefiting the Hendricks County Humane Society.
