INDIANAPOLIS — One of the city's biggest pop culture conventions had to go virtual last year because of the pandemic. But this year, "Indy Pop Con" is planning to welcome visitors in-person.
This week Pop Con announced that it's planning an in-person gathering at the Indiana Convention Center on Jul. 9 through Jul. 11.
This event features celebrities, comic books, artists, and many others. Organizers were expecting up to 40,000 people for Pop Con last year before being forced to host it online.
There's no word yet on crowd limits for this year, but Pop Con officials say they plan to welcome special guests and hundreds of vendors for that weekend.
