INDIANAPOLIS — Despite many of the employees in office buildings downtown working from home, a new business is opening on Monument Circle.
Green District owners tell WRTV they want to get their name out there now, so they are ready when offices fill back up.
Green District features fresh-to-order salads and wraps. The new location will be at 28 Monument Circle on the southwest corner.
The company is currently in rapid growth mode in the midwest. There is already one location in Plainfield at Perry Crossing.
WRTV talked to one of the owners about why they want to open a location downtown.
"Even in downtown Indy, it's still busy. It's a good vibe. We have the NCAA tournament, fans or no fans, we are excited about this," Chris Furlow, a Green District owner, said. "If we can be there now and ready, people will be excited about that for sure."
The downtown location is expected to be open in late spring or early summer. But before then, you will be able to get food delivered from what they call a "ghost location" as the store undergoes the build-out phase. There is no word on when delivery will start.
