ID released for man killed in crash on 96th Street in Carmel

CARMEL, Ind. -- Police have identified a man who was killed in a crash in Carmel on Sunday evening.

The crash happened around 8:45 p.m. near 96th Street and Wild Cherry Lane, according to Carmel police.

Officers say a 2004 Saturn Vue and a 2006 Kia Sportage were headed east on 96th when the Saturn, which appeared to be traveling at a high rate of speed, rear-ended the Kia.

The Saturn then veered off the road and hit a tree. Robert "Bobby" Carlow, 29, of Carmel, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Kia, Trina Price, 53, of Indianapolis, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by Carmel police.
