Every morning on Good Morning Indiana, Kaitlyn wakes up with a passion for storytelling that brightens your day. An Emmy Award-winning journalist, she thrives on bringing the latest news to the greater Indianapolis area with enthusiasm and integrity.
Kaitlyn kicked off her journey at WRTV in November 2021 as a Multimedia Journalist, quickly immersing herself in the pulse of breaking news. As a proud Southside native and Franklin Central High School graduate, she feels a special connection to her community, dedicating herself to telling the stories that matter most to fellow Hoosiers.
Among her notable coverage, Kaitlyn has spent years delving into the Delphi double murder trials, a case that began for her in 2017 when Abby Williams and Libby German went missing. What started as a local tragedy soon gained national attention, making headlines across the country. Kaitlyn recalls being in Delphi that fateful day as an intern, and the ongoing story has since become a pivotal chapter in her career, allowing her to share not just courtroom updates, but the human experiences entwined with them.
With multiple Emmys adorning her shelves, Kaitlyn’s accolades reflect her commitment to honoring Indiana’s fallen heroes and uplift the community through impactful reporting. Yet, her favorite stories are the ones that bring smiles to faces, as she aims to create a positive ripple effect throughout the neighborhood.
When she’s not on air, Kaitlyn embraces her role as a first-time mom to Presley, joyfully navigating the ups and downs of parenting. An avid runner, bookworm, and taco aficionado, she can often be found delighting in family time or hunting for the next best taco spot in town.
