Lauren Casey

Good Morning Indiana anchor and reporter Lauren Casey enjoys waking up and delivering the news to her hometown.  The Center Grove grad grew up watching WRTV with her family each morning before school and cherishes being a part of the WRTV team.

While Lauren's journey to the anchor desk is a little unconventional in this business, she feels very blessed to have started her career right here in Indianapolis.  In 2013, while attending her senior year at Franklin College, Lauren went from WRTV intern to morning traffic reporter for Good Morning Indiana.  In 2017, Lauren was promoted to weekday morning anchor, where she currently resides.

Lauren puts her knowledge of central Indiana to use at the anchor desk by also covering all the traffic duties. Her co-anchor and friend Rafael Sánchez calls her the "traffic queen.”  Lauren keeps drivers up to speed on construction projects and obstacles that could impact their daily commutes.

In addition to anchoring, Lauren is passionate about storytelling. She is a multimedia journalist who enjoys being behind the lens of the camera – shooting, writing and editing stories about things happening in her hometown. She especially enjoys sharing positive news about people making a difference.

Her biggest passions are her family and faith. She married her high school sweetheart. Together, they have two kids and live down the street from where they both grew up. Lauren uses her experiences as both a mother and as a native Hoosier to find unique stories that matter to her beloved community.
