INDIANAPOLIS -- "Welcome to Garcia's hot dogs my friends!"
Abacuc Garcia has made hot dogs and hospitality his business.
As soon has he parks his cart at 16th and Emerson on Indy's east side, the customers line up.
"I saw this stand and I pulled over and I've been hooked since."
"It's a flavor that you can't just describe. They're absolutely phenomenal."
Abacuc loves making specialty hot dogs just as much as he loves meeting his customers
"Customers come and spend money with you... you shake his hand and say thank you for you come and see me," said Abacuc.
He greets every customer with a handshake, washes his hands, and creates.
Abacuc ran a hot dog cart for about 40 years in Los Angeles.
Seven years ago, he moved his family to Indy where his brother lives.
That's when he saw a need in his east side neighborhood.
"No restaurants around here. I say what, you know what, this is the perfect location for a hot dog cart," said Abacuc.
He's a fixture on the corner most days. Abacuc writes daily on his Facebook page whether he'll be there or not and what time.
