INDIANAPOLIS -- If you like seafood and you like soul food, you may want to head to Indianapolis' east side to try out Sea Kings Seafood Kitchen.
It's located in a once-popular East 38th Street spot known as Mary's Seafood.
"I always wanted my own restaurant and it brought me here," said Chef Adrian Bardwell.
The restaurant sat vacant for years until Chef Bardwell and family members renovated it and welcomed back customers.
They opened the restaurant after he graduated from culinary school.
"Growing up. Always in the kitchen with my mama. Just caught on, watching her. That's when I was like, I want to get more training, I want to learn more about food," said Bardwell.
Adrian's goal is to keep the food different, delicious and delightful.
From specialty items like fried lobster and waffles, to more traditional favorites like catfish.
