BARGERSVILLE — Johnson County is landlocked.
Several creeks and lakes do cut through places like Franklin and Edinburgh, but the need for a ship in the neighborhood would be highly unlikely — unless you're Dan and Suzanne Dugan, who are ready to set sail on Thursday.
The Dugan's home has undergone a significant makeover in Johnson County.
You can frame this love of Halloween as an annual tradition to thrill and treat those who enjoy the event.
It took about two days to get this house to become a pirate ship on the 3200 Block of Amber Way in Bargersville. And many more hours have gone into the details.
The ship will have a steering wheel, and a skeleton driver, more lighting effects, and live pirates will be able to walk along the deck.
The pirate flag is raised on a holiday treasure loaded with characters, candy, and cool effects.
The ship will be ready for viewing on Halloween — Thursday, Oct. 31 — during trick or treat hours (5 p.m. - 9 p.m.) in Bargersville.
