INDIANAPOLIS — WRTV is elated to add its reputable Hiring Hoosiers brand to the Indiana Black Expo’s renowned employment opportunity fair, Thursday, November 12, 2020. The new partnership is a natural fit – connecting IBE’s attendees to extremely valuable Hiring Hoosiers resources. WRTV and IBE are working together to satisfy a critical need in our communities by helping Hoosiers navigate the employment barriers COVID-19 has created for job seekers.
“For more than three decades, the IBE event has been the preeminent job fair in Indiana. WRTV is committed to connecting Hoosiers to jobs, education and training, which makes this partnership a natural fit and a source of pride for our station,” said Lana Durban Scott, vice president and general manager at WRTV.
This year’s first Hiring Hoosiers Employment Opportunity Fair will be virtual due to the coronavirus. Attendees can still expect high quality employers and informative seminars to help participants re-enter the workforce and explore new career paths.
“IBE is excited about the expansion of its partnership with WRTV to provide virtual employment fairs to our community,” stated Tanya Mckinzie, IBE President & CEO. “During these unprecedented times, it is critical that we partner with employers and provide a seamless way for our community to access employment opportunities. We will be using the leading virtual job fair software to make this happen,” added Mckinzie.
