Breakstone has announced a voluntary recall for select varieties of their cottage cheese that may contain pieces of metal or red plastic.
At least six people have complained to the company, acording to the recall, which was issued on Tuesday. Breakstone says the recall involves 9,500 cases of its cottage cheese that may have been contaminated during production.
Eating or swallowing contaiminated product can lead to injury of teeth, mouth, throat, stomach or intestines, the company said. So far, no illnesses have been reported. The following varieties are affected
All three varieties have a "best when used by" date of December 10, 2019
