INDIANAPOLIS — Activists held a funeral procession Thursday evening for Dreasjon Reed and McHale Rose, who were both shot and killed by officers in May.
The procession stopped in front of what is believed to be the home of Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett and activists were demanding answers and justice for Reed and Rose.
The demonstration was organized by Indy 10 Black Lives Matter.
IMPD says Reed exchanged gunfire with an officer after a car chase, but attorney's for Reed's family dispute that. A special prosecutor is investigating the case.
Rose was fatally shot by officers after IMPD Chief Randal Taylor said he may have been planning to ambush officers responding to a burglary call, just hours after Reed's death.
