INDIANAPOLIS — A caravan of those against a change that could deny transgender students admission to at least 60 Catholic schools in Indiana were in downtown Indianapolis Saturday.
The new policy from the Archdiocese of Indianapolis states decisions would be made on a case-by-case basis.

Standing up for LGBTQ Rights is nothing new for Shelly Fitzgerald and is how Shelly's Voice was started.
"This started a few years ago when I was released from my job as a counselor," Fitzgerald said. "The Archdioceses began making policies that impacted the LGBTQ community."
People gathered, honked their horns, flew flags, and expressed their disapproval of the change, saying it's discrimination and doesn't line up with Catholic values.
"We want to make certain these policies don't continue to climb, they don't continue to put people out of the church and out of their schools who they don't want to be apart of it," Fitzgerald said.
