A burger joint in Philadelphia may have gone too far.
“You probably don’t want to know how many calories,” said Bryan Varela, kitchen manager and chef at PYT Burger.
The new creation consists of grilled chicken, buffalo sauce, ranch and blue cheese stuffed inside a donut, Boston-creme style. It has blue cheese crumbles on top.
Behold, the Buffalo Chicken Donut.
Varela said the idea comes out of Portland, Oregon. But it might have been a gift from the halls of Mount Olympus.
“People love it. They’re not scared of it, but it’s real different,” Varela said.
He was not asked if customers feared the burger.
Calories? Varela said he didn't know. But it might count as dinner and dessert.
PYT, which calls itself “home of America’s craaaziest burgers,” also sells a cheeseburger stuffed into a donut. It’s called the D'Oh Nut.
