INDIANAPOLIS – Three central Indiana YMCAs will open this weekend, in accordance with the state moving into Stage 3 of Gov. Eric Holcomb’s “Back on Track” plan.

The Fishers YMCA, the Hendricks Regional Health YMCA in Avon and the Witham Family YMCA in Lebanon will all open at 11 a.m. Sunday, according to the YMCA of Greater Indianapolis.

Additional YMCA locations inside Indianapolis will reopen as Marion County opens businesses later than other areas.

YMCA members will be able to work out, use the gyms, swim laps in the indoor pools. Beginning May 26, members can use Play & Learn for ages 3 and older.

Summer childcare enrollment is scheduled to open Friday.

The YMCA locations are taking the following actions to keep staff and patrons healthy:

  • Asking health screening questions upon entry
  • Extra space for social distancing
  • Enhanced cleaning procedures
