NOBLESVILLE — A 91-year-old Vietnam and Korean war veteran war veteran beat COVID-19 in time to spend Easter at home with his family.
Riverview Health said Gerald Hyndman was admitted to the hospital on March 21 after testing positive for COVID-19. He spent 10 days in medical unit and surgery and ICU and was eventually moved to Acute Rehab, where his stay was extended an additional ten days.
"Gerald beat all the odds," the hospital said in a release to RTV6. "After testing negative for the virus, (he) was able to go home to spend Easter weekend with his family."
