NOBLESVILLE — Noblesville Schools has confirmed its first COVID-19 case at Noblesville High School.
According to Marnie Cook, the director of communications for Noblesville Schools, the person who tested positive for the coronavirus was only present at an athletics practice. Neither the sport nor the time of the practice was made available by the school.
Those who have come into contact with the person of interest have reportedly been given notice by the district and were instructed to isolate at home.
The district's release said, in part:
"The large majority of our staff and students were not directly exposed, do not have an increased risk of COVID and will not be impacted by this confirmed case.Our health safety protocols were designed to address positive cases when they occur and we’re working in close partnership with the Hamilton County Health Department."
All NHS parents and staff members were notified of the positive case, according to Cook.
