NOBLESVILLE — Noblesville Mayor Chris Jensen announced a program Tuesday that will issue grants to small businesses that have been impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.
According to a news release from the city, the Noblesville Small Business Resillience Grant program will provide up to $10,000 per grant to help small businesses maintain payroll, pay rent and utilities and cover other expenses to remain in operation.
Jensen said the grant program will focus on businesses that might not be eligible for other assistance or have immediate needs. Businesses should apply before the end of the business day Friday.
“COVID-19 has impacted nearly every segment of our national and local economy," Jensen said. "Due to required closures and other restrictions imposed to protect public health, many local businesses have experienced severe reductions in revenues. Small businesses are crucial part of the fabric of our community and we hope this grant will provide assistance and promote economic vitality within the city.”
