TERRE HAUTE — More than 12,000 students at Indiana State University in Terre Haute will return to class on Tuesday.
Students were still moving their belongings on to campus on Sunday. The process took longer than usual because student arrival was spaced out to avoid large crowds.
Students say they're excited to be back on campus, but say they're worried about what the pandemic will impact next.
"My largest fears are about being in the in-person classes that I have that are mixed," an ISU student said.
ISU students and staff are required to fill out a health survey each day. University officials say this will help them respond quickly to any COVID-19 issues. Students and staff will then get a "cleared" or "not cleared" response.
If a person is not cleared, that means they cannot go to any in-person class or activity. Then, a university contact tracer will also reach out to them.
