Indianapolis Public Schools receives $600,000 grant from Salesforce

INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis Public Schools is one of five school districts around the country to receive a piece of Salesforce's $20 million grant to support education.

According to a news release from Salesforce, the software company provided $500,000 to IPS to support professional development for educators, including racial equity training for teachers. Salesforce also provided $100,000 to the district's COVID-19 relief funds.

This is Salesforce's third year partnering with IPS, the release said.

Salesforce also provided $9 million to the San Francisco Unified School District, $9 million to Oakland Unified School District, $500,000 to Chicago Public Schools and $100,000 to CPS' COVID-19 relief funds, $500,000 to the New York Department of Education and $500,000 to the Courageous Conservation Global Foundation.
