SPEEDWAY — It's been a hard few months for the seniors at Speedway High School.
Like students everywhere, the Speedway Class of 2020 has been away from school since mid-March because of the pandemic.
But at least their graduation ceremony promises to be something special.
Speedway School Superintendent Dr. Kyle Trebley sent out word Tuesday that the May 30 graduation will take place at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Information on exactly how the ceremony will be held hasn't been released yet. Details are still being worked out, said Trebley. There are health and safety considerations to be addressed.
"Further information will be provided to students and families as it becomes available. We appreciate working with IMS and thank them for their willingness to help us make graduation memorable for our seniors and their families," said Trebley.
