Student Support Network sites open to help IPS students during eLearning

INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis Public Schools is partnering with community organizations to help students during remote learning.

Student Support Network sites opened Monday on a rolling basis. Each will be open to no more than 90 students and will offer access to remote learning assistance and training and small group classroom supervision, along with breakfast and lunch.

Sites will adhere to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, local and state guidelines, including social distancing, cleaning of classrooms, frequent handwashing and hand-sanitizing stations. Masks will be required.

On Monday, sites opened at the John Boner Neighborhood Centers and Thomas Gregg Neighborhood School. Additional sites opening on Aug. 31 include Brookside School, YMCA at Carl Wilde School 79, At Your School, Robert Lee Frost School 106 and Broad Ripple High School.

Families will need to register students in advance and arrange for transportation to and from Student Support Network sites. IPS transportation will not be provided.
