NOBLESVILLE — Some 88,000 Hamilton County voters will not be casting their ballots at the usual polling place during next month's primary election.

“We’ve recently made efforts to remove polling places from area schools,” said Hamilton County Clerk Kathy Williams. “But with schools out and some of our original locations choosing not to host this spring due to COVID-19, we’ve had to bring a few of those schools back into the fold.

For the June 2 primary, new location are spread throughout the county and include area churches, neighborhood clubhouses, and school buildings.

“These new locations also have the added benefit of providing better accessibility, and since there will be more locations, they should also help limit lines and improve social distancing on Election Day," said Williams.

Hamilton County residents should look for bright yellow post cards coming soon in the mail. The cards will have each voter's new polling place.

If you do not receive a yellow card in the mail or you just want to check your polling location, call the Hamilton County Election Office at: 317-776-8476, or go to: https://indianavoters.in.gov/
