LAFAYETTE — The Mayor of Lafayette is in quarantine after testing positive for COVID-19. Tony Roswarski is not expected back on the job until the week after Thanksgiving.

As a result, the city has postponed a public community meeting set for Thursday, November 19 at the Long Center to discuss the future vision of the new Public Safety Building and Public Parking Garage.

According to a statement released by the city, the meeting was postponed to "limit potential exposure in an enclosed venue. Mayor Roswarski is a key component of this project and his involvement is necessary to explain the need of this facility for the community."

The meeting will be rescheduled at a later date.
