WAYNE TWP. — More small businesses could be eligible for government help to keep their doors open.
The Wayne Township Trustee’s Office is offering what it’s calling “Helping Hand” grants of $2,000 for up to 30 small businesses within the township. Applications opened this week, and the office of trustee Chuck Jones will announce the awards on January 20.
Businesses are eligible for the grants if they were established in Wayne Township no later than 2018, have four or more employees and can demonstrate a decrease in revenue because of the pandemic and Marion County’s public health orders.
Business owners can submit applications online at waynetwp.org. The deadline for applications is January 13.
