Delaware County sees first positive case of COVID-19

MUNCIE — A person in Delaware County has tested positive for COVID-19, according to the county health department.

The patient is self-isolating at home, according to a press release from the Delaware County Health Department. This is the first patient in the county to test positive for the virus.

Additional information about the patient will be released due to privacy laws.

The patient will be monitored as needed by the health department, according to the release.

On Thursday, the City of Muncie and Delaware County declared a joint emergency in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
