INDIANAPOLIS — From the front lines to fashion design in the midst of battling COVID-19, one doctor has found a way to merge her passion with her purpose, all while using both to lift the spirits of those fighting against exhaustion as the pandemic pushes on.

For 19 years, Dr. Lindi Hayes has cared for patients. This year, that call to help was bumped up a notch during the pandemic, but even with those long hours and battling exhaustion, she’s still managed to create apparel for those standing in her shoes right now.

“Everything is designed with my colleagues and fellow physicians in mind so adding a different fabric that is functional yet stylish and colorful adds that attention to detail,” Hayes said.

Lux Docs lab coats launched last Friday and Hayes already thinks they are doing their job when it comes to keeping doctors away from burnout while on the front lines of the pandemic.

“The colors, it allows a physician to choose," Hayes said. "It really does lift the mood of your coworkers and colleagues all of our support staff that works with us. Just leveling up our mood and how we are feeling and how we feel about ourselves patients love it, and we know that the patients love to see it they love to see something new and bright and vibrant, it is something that really does boost up everybody."

Hayes line offers lab coats, scrubs, and PPE. Click here for more information.
