INDIANAPOLIS — The family of an Indiana high school athletic director who died with COVID-19 will be featured on a local Super Bowl commercial by the Indiana Department of Health Sunday afternoon.

The commercial will urge Hoosiers to get the COVID-19 vaccination if eligible.

Will Loggan, the son of North Central Athletic Director Paul Loggan, will talk about his father in the 30-second commercial.

You can watch it below:

Paul was diagnosed with COVID-19 after attending a basketball sectional in March 2020. He died on Easter Sunday.

“Paul Loggan was a beloved figure in Indiana football, and his loss left a huge void for his family and the entire sports community,” Gov. Eric Holcomb said. “We can honor his legacy by using all the tools we have to stop the spread of COVID-19, including wearing masks and getting vaccinated when it’s our time to do so.”

The commercial cost $123,500 and will air in six broadcast markets with a protected audience of 1.7 million Hoosiers. It was paid for with federal CARES Act funding.
