PLAINFIELD — The 2021-224 class at the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy has been temporarily suspended due to a COVID-19 outbreak.

Director Tim Horty says 10 students had tested positive, and nine additional students are being retested after initial results were inconclusive.

50 additional students are in isolation or quarantine because they are symptomatic or close contacts to a positive case.

Horty says the majority of the 117 students are unvaccinated.

A restart date has not been set.
