Indiana reports 47 new cases of COVID-19, bringing total to 126 in state

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana State Department of Health reported 47 new cases of COVID-19 Saturday, bringing the total to 126 Hoosiers who have been diagnosed with the disease caused by the coronavirus.

The number of cases in Marion County increased from 25 to 46, according to the health department.

Throughout the state, 833 people have been tested, up from the 554 that were reported Friday.

Other new cases involve residents of Allen (3), Clark (3), Delaware (1), Elkhart (1), Greene (1), Hamilton (5), Hancock (1), Harrison (1), Hendricks (2), Howard (1), Johnson (2), Lake (1), LaPorte (1),, Scott (1) and Vigo (1) Counties.

Three Hoosiers have died from the coronavirus.
