Indiana reports 58 COVID-19 deaths and 1,065 positive cases

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana State Department of Health reported Monday that 58 more people died with COVID-19 and 1,065 others tested positive for the virus.

There have been 640,744 positive cases and 11,459 confirmed deaths in Indiana since the pandemic began. An additional 416 probable COVID-19 deaths have also been reported.

A total of 1,292 people are in the hospital with COVID-19, an increase of five since Sunday's report.

There have been more than 7.3 million COVID-19 tests administered to more than 3.01 million individuals with a 21.3% cumulative positivity rate among unique individuals. Indiana's seven-day positivity rate among unique individuals through Feb. 1 is 14.8%.

Among all tests, the cumulative positivity rate is 10.4%, while the seven-day positivity rate is 6.6%.

The state health department said 37.2% of ICU beds and 79.7% of ventilators are available.

Nearly 700,000 Hoosiers have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine, and approximately 223,600 people have received both doses and are fully vaccinated, according to ISDH's dashboard.
