INDIANAPOLIS — Bars and nightclubs in Indianapolis can reopen with 25% capacity beginning the Tuesday after Labor Day, but only if everybody is seated.
Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett said outdoor seating may open at 50% beginning Tuesday.
Patrons must be seated at tables that hold six people, at most. Bartop seating will remain closed. This means no dancing.
"I promise you that Dr. Caine [Marion County Health Department Director] and her team will go full Footloose on your business if you're operating as a dance club," Hogsett said.
Hogsett said the new regulations will “last so long as business owners and customers take the obligations under these public health orders seriously.”
