INDIANAPOLIS – To keep workers safe during the pandemic, there won't be heavy trash pick up in Marion County this month. Additionally, the Department of Public Works also announced Monday the suspension of the popular household hazardous waste drop-off events during April.

DPW says essential operations will continue. Solid waste crews, including those from partner haulers Republic Services and Waste Management, will continue regular trash collections, including on Good Friday.

The Citizen's Transfer Station will continue to operate on Saturdays, allowing for the necessary drop-off of heavy trash items. More information is here: https://www.indy.gov/activity/citizens-transfer-station [click.email.indy.gov]

The department hopes to back back to regular operations in May.
