INDIANAPOLIS — The city of Indianapolis has expanded its RESTART Program, which provides grants for businesses to purchase PPE, to include not-for-profits.

The expansion is thanks to a $20 million appropriation of CARES Act funding from the federal government.

Indianapolis will be giving grants of up to $5,000 on a first-come, first-serve basis for any 501(c)(3) operating in Marion County.

The program will be managed by the United Way of Central Indiana. Nonprofits can visit nonprofitrestart.com to apply for the grants.

“[The PPE grants] are for all of the supplies that are necessary to make your environment safe,” United Way of Central Indiana CEO Ann Murtlow said. “Your masks, your hand sanitizers, your capital improvements to your environment.”
