INDIANAPOLIS — The start of the 2020/21 Indy Fuel season, along with the entire ECHL, has been delayed until December 4. The mid-level professional hockey league announced postponing the beginning of the season on Wednesday.
“We are eager to return to hockey, but at this time, we believe this decision is prudent for the safety of our players, employees and fans,” Ryan Crelin, ECHL commissioner, said.
The season was originally set to begin on October 16.
The league says it still plans on playing a full 72 game schedule.
