INDIANAPOLIS — An employee of Indy Parks has tested positive for COVID-19, the novel coronavirus.

In a statement late Tuesday, Indy Parks said the test result came back Tuesday.

The employee is based at Washington Park, Indy Parks said in a statement. The city is working with the Marion County Public Health Department to notify any Indy Parks employee or other individual who may have had close contact with the individual.

Indy Parks said based on health department feedback and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidance on close contact, there is no known risk for residents who recently visited the park. In an abundance of caution, a deep cleaning of the affected workspace will occur.
