INDIANAPOLIS--It may seem like just about everything is shutting down on account of the coronavirus. One thing that isn't is IndyGo.
The transit system says it will continue to run its service as usual. In a statement issued Tuesday, new bus cleaning methods were outlined. IndyGo is now using electrostatic disinfectant on its buses to clean hard to reach areas and provide a thin barrier for longer lasting disinfectant.
At the Carson Transit Center downtown antibacterial stations have been added for bus riders. But public bathrooms there are closed for now to limit large crowds.
IndyGo says it will continue to communicate updates and service impacts. More information is available at: indygo.net/health [indygo.benchurl.com].
