ISDH reports 476 additional students test positive for COVID-19 in Indiana schools

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana State Department of Health updated its dashboard that keeps track of COVID-19 cases in schools.

According to statistics released by the health department Monday, 476 more students tested positive, while 92 teachers and 119 staff members received positive coronavirus tests.

Overall, 2,843 students, 567 teachers and 655 staff members have tested positive since the state began keeping track of COVID-19 in schools.

Across the state, 1,168 schools have reported one or more cases, while 622 schools currently have no reported cases. An additional 576 schools have not provided numbers to the state.

The majority of students who tested positive are 10-19 years old. The state health department's dashboard said 39.8% of cases are among students who are 15-19 years old and 36.2% among those who are 10-14 years old.
