Johnson County resident is second Hoosier to die from COVID-19, six new positive cases in state

JOHNSON COUNTY — A second person has died in the state of Indiana from the coronavirus COVID-19.

The Indiana State Department of Health made the announcement Tuesday morning. The patient was an adult over the age of 60 who had been hospitalized because of their condition.

Since Monday, six additional Hoosiers have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the state total up to 30. The new cases were two residents in each of Lake, Franklin and Marion counties.

So far 159 Hoosiers have been tested by the Indiana State Health Department. That number does not include tests that have been conducted by outside labs.

The positive tests have come from the following counties:

  • Adams County
  • Bartholomew County
  • Boone County
  • Floyd County
  • Franklin County (2)
  • Hamilton County
  • Hendricks County (2)
  • Howard County (2)
  • Johnson County (3)
  • Lake County (2)
  • LaPorte County
  • Marion County (8)
  • Noble County
  • St. Joseph County
  • Wells County
