INDIANAPOLIS — As Marion County has made “extraordinary gains” in the fight against COVID-19, Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett has lessened the restrictions for restaurants and bars in the city.
Beginning Monday, March 1, here are the changes coming to Marion County’s restrictions:
- Bar capacity will increase from 25% capacity to 50% capacity with bar seating, as long as social distancing is followed
- Indoor restaurant capacity will increase from 50% capacity to 75% capacity, as long as social distancing is followed
- The curfew for bars, restaurants and music venues will move from midnight to 2 a.m.
- Music venue and gym capacity increased to 50%
"We've been doing a remarkable job so far," said Marion County Public Health Department Director Dr. Virginia Caine. "These are some incredible, significant gains."
