CARMEL — With toilet paper in short supply, a state representative and two off-duty Carmel firefighters took matters into their own hands to help area hospitals.
After Indiana State Rep. Donna Schaibley (R-District 24) secured a donation from Costco for three pallets of toilet paper, Carmel Fire Department executive officer Joe Butts and engineer Renee Butts helped deliver the supplies that doctors, nurses and hospital staff could not get on their own.
According to a Facebook post from the Carmel Fire Department, Joe Butts said, "Tell me when and where and I'll be there."
