INDIANAPOLIS — Two more officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department have tested positive for the coronavirus, bringing the total in the department to four.
The two new officers who tested positive are self-quarantined at home and being monitored, said Aliya Wishner, the chief communications officer for IMPD – City of Indianapolis.

Other officers have been tested, after Eli Lilly and Company announced it would start testing first responders at its Indianapolis headquarters. The Eli Lilly testing is free.
The protocol is designed to keep our workforce healthy and able to serve.

Officers and firefighters are being tested following an exposure protocol developed with Indianapolis EMS, Wishner said.
