INDIANAPOLIS - Vice President Mike Pence was in Indiana Friday.
Pence spoke at Marian University in Indianapolis to discuss reopening schools.
He praised Gov. Eric Holcomb’s response to the coronavirus and stressed that students need to get back to school.
"It’s important to remember the risk of coronavirus to healthy children is very low," Pence said. "It’s also important to remember there are real costs far beyond academics to our kids if they’re not in school."
Dr. Deborah Birx and U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos also attended the roundtable and spoke.
