FISHERS – The city of Fishers will begin reopening some amenities to its parks and trails Friday.

Beginning Friday, all public restroom facilities will be open to the public and cleaned daily.

All non-contact athletic courts and fields, such as basketball, baseball, tennis and pickleball courts will reopen, but playgrounds and drinking fountains will remain closed.

Here are the other tentative upcoming changes to Fishers’ parks and trails:

June 1

  • Shelter and venue rentals will resume for groups of up to 100 individuals

June 14

  • Athletic field rentals for non-contact sports for groups of 250 and more are set to begin
  • Fishers Parks splash pads and Saxony Lake and Beach open
  • Shelter rentals for up to 250 people will reopen

All park amenities are planned to be fully operational by July 4, which is Stage 5 of Gov. Eric Holcomb’s plan.

The 2020 Fishers Summer Concert Series will be canceled in addition to all June Summer Camps in consideration of the COVID-19 pandemic.
