INDIANAPOLIS — While many people have the ability to get out of the house when it's necessary while the stay at home order is in place, some people aren't able to leave at all due to their chronic illnesses.
Saliena Balos says she has been spending a lot of time in her bedroom to avoid being exposed to the Coronavirus because she has a chronic illness.
"There are so many people who don't understand the severity of the situation," Balos said.

Her mom, Debra, who is a doctor, is pleading with people in a Facebook post to listen to the recommendations of doctors to help stop the spread of COVID-19.
Debra says Saliena hasn't complained once and is still smiling.
"Not once has she complained," Debra said. "She still smiles, she still takes it a day at a time, rolls with the punches and begs for people to listen."
"It's funny because the people who aren't taking it serious are also the ones saying how bored they are at home, or I just want my normal life back," Saliena said. "If you don't do your part, it's going to be a long time before we see those days again."
Saliena was studying tourism, conventions, and event management at IUPUI. She says she is still planning on landing a job in the field.
