Elizabethtown man accused of throwing, kicking pregnant wife

COLUMBUS, Ind. -- An Elizabethtown, Indiana, man was arrested Thursday for allegedly pushing his pregnant wife into the side of his vehicle and then kicking her in the stomach.

Bobby Hornback, 26, of Elizabethtown, was arrested on preliminary charges of battery on a pregnant woman, domestic battery in the presence of a minor and criminal confinement.

Police were called to the Sunnybrook Trailer Park around 6:00 p.m. Thursday on a report of a domestic dispute.

Officers learned that Hornback got into an argument with his wife about filing for divorce and child support.

According to the police report, "The victim advised that Hornback pushed her into the side of his vehicle causing the window to break. Hornback then threw the victim to the ground and kicked her in the stomach, although he knew her to be six weeks pregnant."

The incident took place in front of two of the couple's three children, ages 8 and 5.

The victim was checked and released by emergency medical responders.
