INDIANAPOLIS — A person who was subjected to gunfire in a drive-by shooting on Thursday night was shot four times in an east side Indianapolis neighborhood.
Around 7:30 p.m. Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were dispatched to the 1200 Block of North Oxford Street on a person shot. However, police found the victim at the intersection of Rural Street and 12th Street after the person ran from the initial shooting scene, according to IMPD.
The victim was transported to Eskenazi Hospital, where officials say the victim is stable.
This shooting is an active and on-going investigation. Investigators have yet to find a suspect(s).
