INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis Public School board members are asking for feedback as they continue to search for a new superintendent.
Starting later this month, the public will be able to tell the board what qualities you are looking for in the next superintendent at a series of “listening sessions.”
The listening sessions will be held on the following dates and times:
- Feb. 27 from 1-3 p.m. at Hawthorne Community Center, 2440 West Ohio St.
- March 7 from 6-8 p.m. at Anderson Auditorium at Arsenal Technical High School – 1500 East Michigan St.
- March 13 from 6-8 p.m. at the gymnasium at George Washington Carver Montessori School No. 87, 2411 Indianapolis Ave.
"As we look for the next superintendent, it's appropriate to take input on that path that we have chosen and then hear what they think is working well and then what they think that we can do better," IPS school board President Michael O'Connor said.
Indianapolis Public Schools began the search for a new superintendent when former superintendent Dr. Lewis Ferebee accepted a new job in December.
